Imagine this: you are a beginning writer who has an idea they want to develop, or someone who has finished the first draft of their opus, and wants to know what they should do next. Or perhaps you’re a more experienced writer, and you want to move your career forward into the next stage of its development.

When you look at where you are now, and think about where you’d like to be in five, ten or twenty years, you know that you want the best advice, and that you want it to come from someone experienced. You need it to come from someone with a proven track record across several facets of the publishing world.

Over the last 20+ years I have written more than 35 books for readers of varying ages, visited hundreds of school locally and internationally, spoken at dozens of conferences and festivals, worked in arts administration at a federal government level, taught at writers’ centres, won awards, judged awards, assessed and edited manuscripts, and completed a Masters degree in creative writing at the University of Sydney. (My full resume can be found here.)

All of this is experience that you can draw upon.

To that end, some of the services I offer are:

* Manuscript assessment and reader reports
* Editorial services
* Career advice
* Grant writing advice
* Creative writing tutoring and mentoring (incl. HSC)

Please note that I am not a literary agent, nor am I a schools booking agent. I can happily provide you with the names of several of these, but I do not make recommendations or representations to any of these.
